Finally after calling and pestering I got a check in the mail. It did not cover all of the damage that was done. They would not cover the any of the outside that needed repair due to the fact that they said i should have had the cracks in my stucco repaired as normal maintenace before the storm. I assured them the cracks were not there before but according to the insurance adjusters report they weren't-- like they would know! Also i had water damage to the cabinets in my kitchen which they would also not cover saying there was no evidence the damage was caused by TS Fay. It is ridicilous-- so basically they send me enough money to replace my laminate floors. Do i take them to mediation for more money or just be happy with what i've got. Also, i am looking for recommedations for a fair insurance provider in the state of FL-- any suggestions?
