What happened to the first count?
How much did it cost the tax payers to investigate and prosecute this case?
Could this fraud have been detected much earlier or even prevented if the state had a data base that allows the different offices and insurance companies to coordinate information. Obviously, the convicted man had to have insurance and had to have a special license to drive the truck. There are also weigh ins and other functions that could have raised a flag if a proper system was in place.
As far as losing priveledges because of the felony conviction. It's not as black and white as that. That very issue is being challenged in the higher courts by civil rights groups. He may not lose those rights for long.
