with a 15 gallon gas tank, you save only .60 cents on a fill up, BUT PEOPLE SHOP AND THE LINE AT CHEVRON IS LONG BECAUSE IT IS CHEAPER, How do you think State Farm became the largest writer, because they were cheaper, NOT BETTER.
Citizens is becoming the largest because no other companies are allowed to charge anywhere near what they do, so they won't sell at all. Sounds logical to me. Raising rates on Citizens will not curtail new business going into Citizens if consumers do not have a viable option, If smelly water is all thats available thats what you drink. Given the choice nobody would take Citizens, unless the low down agent had no other company appointments and only slid them Citizens to make the sale. Most people shop hard after getting the Citizens rate so that does not happen very offen.
