Dear JR, I made a mistake when I was typing, I really live west of Jacksonville, not east, but I am furious about this whole thing. I do not want to move to Russia and do not expect a handout from the government. I am a state employee and work very hard for my meager income. I happen to take care of the dregs of society for the Fla. prison system so I know where my tax dollars go. For example, the death row inmate that gets a heart transplant before execution. In fact, I have lived for years without insurance but now I am in a pickle. I refinanced my home through a bank. They have given me 45 days from July 21st to obtain insurance or the loan will be called due. I never had problems when owner financed because if it broke, I fixed it. Now, I have a corporation telling me that they will take my house and land if I don't get insurance. Who will they sell it to? It is a 1992 and if I can't get insurance, who will? When I bought my place it was worth $26,000 and my appraisal at refinance last Sept was $88,000. Now, I could live in a tent but I don't expect my children to. I also have horses. Most rentals don't take pets let alone horses. I have lived all over to include Michigan and Alaska and am a military veteran to boot. So please don't talk to me about socialistic countries and other places I could move. I'll think about you this weekend when I do my 16 hr shifts taking care of murderers and child molesters with full blown Aids. Your tax dollars are at work with me buddy because it is my job to give them the best medical care your tax dollars can pay for. I know I work hard and I'm not asking for a break. Just an idea on how I can keep from losing as your fellow writers put it, the tin can I live in.
