He did not purchase flood insurance because, like all congressman, he does not have to follow any of the rules he passes for us common folk. After all they know best.
Several posters have nailed this one the head. It does not matter what happens in court. All of the people that choose to build and live in sensible places not subject to being destroyed every couple of decades will just get to pay for these pretty sunsets and scenic vistas that make no economic sense whatsoever.
