Well it just so happens that I do in fact know what that would be. A 40 yr old male, single policy holder with an accident with injuries in the last five years with maximum BI and unisured motorist (which will be required if no PIP), would be over $1200 a year. That includes no spouse, children, etc. on this policy. Add them on and it would only skyrocket from there.
As for keeping the tourism down, the tourism in Florida has reached an all time high this past summer. It is expected to exceed this during this summer.
People are not going to stop vacationing here based solely on our insurance laws. If so, we would not be the visitor capital of the world who have had PIP in effect for over 30 yrs. To insinuate that tourism in Florida would stop is silly.
