PIP should be allowed to die. It has created more fraud than it is worth. Every accident victim (no matter how small the impact) is expected by their chiropracters to have $10,000 worth of treatment whether they need it or not. The only feesable way to keep PIP would be to have a limit on the treatments and a limit on the amounts a doctor can charge. $65.00 for 15 minutes of ice on your neck is absurd. Furthermore, these doctors are going to conventions where plaintiffs attorneys (eager to get PIP cases) lecture them to charge more and more and that if their bills are not being reduced, they are not billing enough.
