We need to look at the big picture of this issue. I can see it from both side, as a consumer, we want to lower the cost of insurance. However, we also must protect ourselves. With PIP sunsetting, there is too much for citizens of FL to lose. Uninsured motorist scares me and frankly, it will be unfortunate for your loved one to be hurt or worst killed in an auto accident to find out there is no compensation or recourse. We need mandatory insurance and PIP is working and it is not a broken system like some people are gripping about. It is about protecting ourselves and if it cost us few extra dollars to do it then be it. It's well spent dollars. As for all the fraud that is being discussed, it is only the small percentage out there that gets all the media attention and paint this huge crisis. It is my understanding that the fraud is being controlled and actually insurance companies are saving money. We the consumers need to be more informed with the truth not some erroneous information that is not entirely truthful. There, I said my piece...care to discuss it any further let me know.
