FP Davis, First of all PIP has nothing to do with liability insurance. PIP only covers you and your family that were in an accident regardless of fault for medical bills. You will still be required to carry Liability insurance in Florida. I don't think its right that I have to pay for PIP and expensive health insuance that will also cover my injuries in an accident. The state should just require drivers that do not have medical insurance to purchase PIP. If you have proof of health insuance then you should have the option to opt out of PIP. It's that simple.
