FPDavis & JHG: Thanks for the input. I went over all the small print. It states you are covered out of the state for auto accidents. Period. It does not say you have to be in a car. It only states that if you look it up in the Fl Statutes. My ins co didn't even know this when I first talked to them until they researched it later. I can get Fl medical care if I don't mention the word "accident" or if I do, I have to pay all expenses up front & sign papers I will never get an ins co or lawyer involved. If I don't mention "accident" I will get treated but the next month I will get a bill because Medicare rejected the claim, accident related or not. Not many can afford ongoing medical care when you have to pay for everything yourself? I don't mean just the doctor bill, but the ER bills, the MRI or the CT Scan, discogram, & a bunch of others I won't mention. Then if it goes to surgery or a spinal cord stimulator, etc., etc.
