Mr McCarty's job is not a tough one at all. Florida consumers want, need and deserve to be able to buy insurance from real insurance companies at a price lower than what Citizens is shoving down our throats. Mr McCarty, at the hand of Gallagher has seen no reason to allow insurance companies to maintain a viable marketplace here in Florida, he has had the chance to approve numerous filings that would allow companies to write at a better price than Citizens and he has refuse or delayed many of them. This is not a tough job, it is a political job. People are willing to pay Nationwide, Allstate, State Farm, Tower Hill, Florida Family, Travelers and dozens of other companies what they are asking because it is less than what Mr McCarty and Gallagher are forcing us to take with Citizens. I can think of NO reason not to approve some of these filings, the companies will leave the state if they can't get things changed, this is NOT a threat it is a proven fact that some have already done.
This is not a tough thing.
