WOW...I have been so amazed by reading all the comments concerning insurance issues and all the anger involving the United States Citizens of the Northern States against Southern States and vise-versa!
I think the point is... that there are disasters happening everywhere,no matter your state's location. From fires, to tornados, to floods, to hurricanes and much more. It's all BAD!
We live in a time, that Insurance is expensive for everyone period. Either you can afford to have it or you can't. Pretty much depends on your personal situation, your finances and if its even available to purchase in your area.

Not everyone lives in Florida because it's the American dream.
Some of us were born and raised here, and it just happens to be where all the family is. I have lived here most of my 44 years, and I can't afford to live here, nor can I afford home owners insurance. But,I stay because I don't want to leave my family behind!
So you do what you have to do, by stuggling every day-month-year and you hope and pray that you and those that you love, survive the next disaster- NO MATTER WHAT STATE THEY LIVE IN, because there will always be another one just waiting to happen to someone somewhere.

I often think that I would rather take my chances with Hurricanes than I would fires that show no mercy, deadly tornado's like the recent midwest has had, floods that wipe everything out in it's path. Sometimes, it's just is, what it is!

And just for the record..In the last 10-15 years my family and I cannot even begin to enjoy our beaches of a community that we have grown up in, because it has been over-developed with Condo's, Beach houses and etc... and bought by the people from the North,East and West that are often referred to as "Snow Birds". So keep in mind when you are insulting the people of Florida, you are insulting the people that have moved here from somewhere else, possible your state!

Global Warming and etc...its affecting us all everywhere-even outside of the U.S

MAY GOD BLESS US ALL
