A few questions for you Diane,
Did you personally receive a bill for this? Did you realize that FEMA stands for Federal Emergency Management Agency? Did you just realize after all those years of paying taxes that some of that money is going to FEMA for disaster assistance? How's the job market in your area? Are there plenty of jobs and houses available in your community for the 20,376 People that applied for FEMA Assistance in Hancock County alone (gulfcoastnews.com civil defense update as of 2-9-2006)? If everybody moved away from the gulf coast what would happen to the shipbuilding industry, the seafood industry, the oil and gas industry, and the Shipping industry? I am just one of thousands of Katrina and Rita disaster victims who received no more than a camper to stay in while we rebuilt our lives (and I was glad for that). I moved back into my house just this weekend so the camper I was using will be going back to FEMA to be reused in some future disaster. One day you just might be in that same camper. Rest assured if you are you will never hear me complain about my tax dollars going to work helping you rebuild.
