I filed my insurance claim Oct 27th. I hired a public adjuster - my 14 room hotel lost the roof and all the rooms on the top floor were destoryed. To this date Citizens has paid only 103,000 dollars, my limit was 500,000, my damages are 479,000 according to a contractors estimate. After they sent the 103,000 and closed my case, I had them re inspect, and they agreed, they didnt pay enough, so they are sending me another 60,000 dollars. Still not near enough to repair this building, I have lost all income thru the busy season. They are TERRIBLE. I am ready to just throw in the towell.
