Subject: Big Shock - Allstate Knowingly Underpays Claims
If you will keep an open mind, then we will gain some ground...
Allstate and State Farm have stated to untold thousands of Hurricane Rita victim claimants that the hours upon hours of abrasive action that windborne debris, that ground away the granule component on fibergalss shingles, sometimes down to the fiberglass mat, is not wind damage to shingles.
They have also stated to claimants that wind lifted / debris contaminated tar sealant bonds, which action will not allow shingles to rebond, is not damage to shingles.
Both damage assessments are not true, and they are leaving their trusting clients structures, and persoanl welfare, vulnerable to further weather damage loss.
Other insurers realize obvious wind damage, and "adjust" claims accordingly.

P.S. Shingle manufacturers engineers agree as to what is truly shingle damage that needs repairing, or replacing.
So far, ZERO documentation from Allstate / State Farm engineers has been produced by them, to their clients, that supports their engineers position that (ELK / GAF) shingle manufacturers are wrong.
Common sense also won't support such arbitrary damage-is-not-damage doublespeak.
