Subject: RE: Overcharges
Clarification noted and much appreciated.
What makes me shake my head is that Citizens, who is supposed to be the highest rate in our fine State, is 9 figures buried in losses, and our DOI continues to fuss and whine when companies have the nerve to request rates lower than that!
It's amazing what happens when a market is reduced to a few small players what happens to prices. Think OIL and you'll see what I mean. No small players and we pay higher prices at will (Spring and Summer Breaks) and the oil companies make a mint. Unfortunately we can't make the market like that.
Bottom line is simple, our current talking head is not helping the people of Florida by not allowing insurance companies to make a fair and reasonable profit. Dragging insurance co officers to town hall meetings that no one attends was nothing more than a farce, at best. Did he actually think that allowing the public to beat up a few insurance people who had the nerve to ask for rates to buy reins and stay in business was going to keep them from asking? Who's brain child was that anyway? From what I could see it was more of a brain fart. And don't forget who our fearless leader was the last time Citizens was overpopulated. My vote for Governor? NOT ON YOUR LIFE!!!
