So, what if it was the sole choice of the sub to break the rules and cause the injuries. Why would the contractor be held liable for the mistake of the subcontractor? They shouldn't be to the extent of the responsibility of the subcontractor.

And about McDonalds. If there were so many warnings and it was so well known that Mcdonald's coffee was so extremely how, the lady should have known better than to put it close to her "genitals", as you discribed. Furthermore, why was she driving with a dangerous beverage between her legs, when at "normal" hot coffee temperatures. I find it extremely irresponsible of her to do that, as the coffee could have spilled at a normal hit temperature and she could have caused a major traffic accident.

One way or the other, SHE is the one who put the coffee between her legs, where it was never supposed to go. Most cars have cup holders and if they don't, DON'T TRY AND HAVE A BEVERAGE WHILE YOU'RE DRIVING. IT'S UNSAFE AND IRRESPONSIBLE!
