Replealing joint and several liability is like putting your finger in the dike with the hole the size of a bucket. The tort reform that is really needed is elimination of any settlement, cracking or sink hole coverage for the state. Every time someone makes a claim after building a home on the sand a bad faith suit sprouts up and thousands of dollars are wasted. Here is a hint, don't build on the sand. If you do, live with the cracks in the plaster. Even worse is the pip coverage. Attorneys routinely sueing for $2.00 plus thousands of dollors in attorneys fees and getting it! And allowing attorneys to make unreasionable demands in releases just so they can set up an excess claim. Governer Bush and the legislature have a lot more work to do.
