Note to Charlie: Florida already mandates that insurers give rate reductions to homeowners that harden their homes. Worse yet, Toni Jennings reform committee recommended that the range of such credits be reduced so that it would be easier for consumers to understand. Any want to take the bet that Charlie and the legislature make things a lot worse by creating all sorts of new unfunded mandates on insurers? I'm giving 3 to 1 odds that the state's over-regulated market gets worse, not better, over the next two years.
