Dickie... I'm probably one of the smarter and more ethical agents you would meet. After 35 years of being in the insurance business I have participated in seminars to help end insurance fraud in MA I have provided comsumer forums and I host a radio show to discuss insurance and claims etc. I try to show how important we professional agents are and that we expect our companies to respond to our clients when they purchase proper coverage. I am not implying that SF should pay for flood claims when only homeowners coverage is in place. I provide both HO and flood coverage for clients in flood zones. However, if a company internally circumvents paying a claim without legitimate reason then we agents look like thieves. A local agent is currently in a major lawsuit after selling flood insurance to condo owners who own condo units below ground level and then having their claims denied as the master policy superceded their coverage negating payment... remember, our clients are our families, our friends and our neighbors. We owe them the courtesy and professional support that our license implies we offer.
