Joe... thanks for the civics lesson but I was already aware of Senter's position as a federal judge and not a state judge. But I'm also not stupid enough to believe there isn't some bias leaning towards the people of Mississippi. The insurance policy has been in place for number of years. You brought up all the hurricane's that hit the Gulf Coast in the last 30-40 years. I guess since none of those damaged Senator Lott's house their wasn't much to do with any of them except let the people of Mississippi fight for themselves. If the courts visited the issue of flood v. wind back in Camille then I would assume it would be time to visit it again at the federal level. As you know from your experience issues have to be brought before the court to test waters from time to time. But I'm sure you knew all that from your over 30 years experience of handling claims.
You keep referring to me as a State Farm employee. I am not an employee of State Farm just a policy holder. What ticks me off about the whole situation in Mississippi is my company put a contract in place that was approved by the Insurance Commissioner of your great state for a set premium. Now the courts are telling State Farm they have to pay for something that was in black in white for the past 20,30 maybe even 40 years.
But, you have still failed to anwser any of our questions regarding your facts. You are only assuming all these cases are State Farm. How do you know for sure some aren't Allstate, Farmer's, Farm Bureau or others that do business along the coast.......I'm going to name you "1%". Because that is amount of the public your opinion appears to represent. Good luck getting insurance in your state in the coming years. Senator Lott, Judge Senter, Hood and the others will be the one's to send the thank you too......
