As an Independant Insurance Agent lo these many years, I have heard over and over again through advertisements and solicitations in my mail box that State Farm insures more homes, more autos, more lives, etc in my state. Now that another state that they sell the most in has been devestated, they are scrambling to pay out and salvage their reputation. I'm sure they are glad that they insured more homes in Louisianna, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida than anybody else, but when the shoe falls, who is supposed to pay more? Right, and for all the sanctimonious sermons about how we don't know all the things they did right, I think Ed Rust should be forced to spend hour after hour watching the TV ads running in my state right now about how for the same price as all those "CUT RATE" independent insurance policies, you the consumer could have the "SUPERIOR" service and coverage of State Farm and it's SUPERIOR agent force. It seems that State Farm believes that those of us outside the Gulf state region don't have TV or know anyone in that area that is still without a roof (that was flooded).
