The Vioxx deception put into perspective
"It's as if 60,000 Americans were sent to a war, returned home in body bags, and nobody noticed"! FDA estimates Vioxx caused 140,000 heart attacks and 60,000 or more deaths..
It would have been different if Merck did not know...but, they did know and put it in simple terms, they didn't give a damn...They wanted the money! What's a few thousand deaths compared to the billions they made...and they are hoping that they can get people on the jury like you Mary...who are that ignorant of all the facts.
