The Marshall is in the company of hundreds from a variety of professions including medical doctors who have also filed lawsuits against Zicam. There is ever growing medical evidence to show that zinc gluconate kills cells including that of the human olfactory epithelium. Due to a huge loophole in the current FDA jurisdiction as a homeopathic product, the makers of Zicam are currently unaccountable to any authoritative body that requires them to prove it's safety. However the veterinary drug Neutersol used to sterilize male dogs is under FDA jurisdiction. The active ingredient is none other then the same zinc gluconate as used in Zicam. Does anyone remember the wonderful product called asbestos and how long The Grace Company fought to convince us it was safe. Or the tobacco industry who argued for years that smoking did not cause cancer. Zicam is dangerous if inhaled and there is zero warning for the consumer. However, as Americans we are all free to be naive.
