You think Al. is bad? Try Fl. where the mandatory minimum coverage and limits is:

No Fault Protection: $10,000

Property Damage Liability: $10,000

Note that there is no requirement that bodily injury liability be purchased.

Fraud is so rampant in No Fault (personal injury attorneys and chiropracters leading the way) that my No Fault premium for $10,000 is almost as high as my Bodily Injury premium for $500,000 limit.

And still almost 1/3 of all the drivers in S. Florida have no insurance at all (which is why uninsured motorists coverage is also through the roof)!
