If you are asking about leaving a home vacant for 2 to 3 months & covering the opening protection with shutters, this fundamentally changes the risk. There are clauses on all homeowner's policies with regards to vacancy & there are exclusions on coverage that apply.
We write vacant home coverage as well as homeowner's insurance at our agency.
