I have worked for a one of the largest insurance companies in Florida for 7 years -who unfortunately I cannot berate on this, but you all are berating this company for trying to come into the State of Florida and offer some decent prices on homeowners insurance? Give me a break, do you think it is better for the companies like the one I work for to keep raising their rates and blaming it on the hurricanes in 2004? Where the heck is all the money they made? And you think this new company is gambling with the chance of not having enough money to pay claims if they happen, well looks like State Farm, Nationwide and Allstate- "the big boys" are taking there money and running huh? Well they should hit the road, and the previous blogger who said that a policy was written with ridiculous reason, well guess what, my company does the same thing sometimes. Does not make it right. But you as consumers need to get more educated, half of you make no sense whatsoever. Or you can keep on paying your astronomical rates and await your cancellation letter. Bear in mind I have no business relationship w/ this company whatsoever, I was just interested in reading up on some of the new companies and was not surprised, that as usual everyone wants to gripe and provide no real solution.
