State Farm complaining about ethics violations is a joke. Scruggs may have been indicted but he has not been judge guilty by the courts. The courts will decide if he is guilty or not. On the other hand State Farm has just been found to have misrepresented policy limits on one of its policies. This is Case #B188718 Calif. Appellate Court, Second Appellate District, Division Eight and was certified for publication Dec 17, 2007. The short version of this is State Farm forced a settlement by giving a declaration stating the Homeowners Association coverage was $4,974,900 when it was later discovered by obtaining the original declaration page that the coverage was $11,905,500. So much for State Farm and their ethics!
