If you read the State Farm spin you would think they were actually pleased to settle "without costly and lengthly litigation". But if they thought dragging this out was "in no one's best interest" why didn't they do the right thing right after the loss? I believe the answer is unless they have a trial facing them they will continue to try and avoid payment. And when they do pay they require an agreement of no disclosure. They want to keep their dirty little secrets and buy their way out. And they have the nerve to advertise as a good neighbor!
