If you took the time to actually explain that to each policyholder (don't forget the part about you making less money) some of them might actually choose to stay in Citizens.
Don't forget to tell them that the existence of a Guaranty Fund lowers the risk that they won't get paid. Your complaints about claims handling are valid.
If I were a policyholder and found out you didn't bother to call me and ask, you'd lose the Citizens policy, auto home, life, etc.
