I have been an agent for 19 years I have seen the good and the bad. Most clients already had such a terible experience with past take outs that they want to stay with citizens. Who am I to tell them that when things get bad again these take out companies are not going to increase their rates to outrageos amounts like United Property, Federated, Gulstream and my favorite Sunshine state . They increased there rates to 500% and were paying the agent 1.9%(Sunshine State). let alone the amount of clients we lost because the client thought that we as agents were overcharging them. They would receive there renewal and go with another agent right back in to citizens. I have given my approval to all companies except Sunshine State in a time that the agent or the client had no choice they took advantage of the situation. I will never give them my approval . The rest I et my client decide. I do not want to give them the wrong advise and then have a lawyer Come and sue me for telling a client to go to a take out company that later fails after another 2004/05 hurricane season
