What strikes me as odd about this is that Farm Bureau reduced its rates by an average of 24.9% in 6/07, but on 5/07, they request an increase of 30.3 percent. I presume IJ meant 5/08 & not 5/07. This makes no sense given the fact that there were no real hurricanes in FL in 2007.

Don't carriers have to back up with documentation the reason for the requested increase? Or, is this carrier anticipating an active hurricane season and they are getting prepared?
