Jerry you are correct about that. Most independents don't have time to re-quote your business every year or six months. We would have to hire at least one more person who only did that job. But maybe we should do that....

Plus, it upsets the apple cart. Something could go wrong. Do you really want to switch companies every year just for a few bucks?

Nonetheless, I can see why you switched, and that is a fair argument. You feel like you shouldn't have to ask your agent for a lower rate, he should already be doing that for you.

As agents we struggle with this issue all the time. We quote all the companies at the start, then we usually only check for lower rates when something changes in your account.

But I cant speak for everyone, Im sure some agents do it differently.
