Arbitration has shown itself to favor whichever industry demands its use and does repeat business with arbitrators. This private justice system is being exposed as unfair to consumers, and as a way that corporations can hide numerous complaints. Passage of various bills in congress this year may put an end to at least some of this type of abuse. The arbitration industry and industries that rely on it, are publishing plenty of spin right now claiming arbitration is good for consumers. Don't fall for it. The last thing you want if you're the damaged party is a secretive, biased "dispute resolution" process with no real chance to appeal or have whacky decisions reviewed by a real judge.
