Oh, so the jury system that continually bases judgements on emotion rather than fact is a better system? I recently had a judgement against my company overturned in Florida by the local court of appeals. The judge reviewed it and was completely flabbergasted. The jury had completely ignored any facts and just looked at our deep pockets. The judge overturned it immediately. There is no perfect system, but alternative methods of settling disputes should not be banned simply because of a few decisions you might disagree with any more than we should do away with the trial by jury system. The government of Florida is rediculously out of control. I hope the appeal of this decision actually has more to do with the law than this decision.
