For those who are not in the industry or don't know much about Farm Bureau.....

The Florida Farm Bureau is a domestic carrier. That means...they only write business in the state of Florida. They only exist in the state of Florida. Every Farm Bureau is a domestic carrier. That means -they only write business in the state where their home office is located. (Which is what CT is referring to as domestics)

Therefore, the only way Florida Farm Bureau can leave the state of Florida is to close up shop...shut down and no longer exist.

So, yes PJ, Florida Farm Bureau has to make a $$$ in Florida. Since the only policies they write are in Florida...the only premium income they receive is from Florida....they have to make $.

Insurance companies are a business. Not a charity. So, if they don't make $ - then like any other business the cease to exist.
