A lot of posters talk about the training needed to be a good rider. The real people that need training are all the other drivers who don't pay attention. I lost my leg in an accident identical to the one you describe. These people just don't look. My guess is that dispite the idiots who drive too fast on bikes, most accidents are caused by the other driver, not the motorcycle rider.
