I don't buy insurance in the state, but I question the accuracy of what OIR claims to be the what the price increases would amount to. They claim 63% or $8300 additional for the average price increase in Dade County. That says that right now the average homeowner insurance cost is $13,200 or so, and it would go to $21,500??? Anyone out there believe these numbers, or are the good people at OIR throwing out some propaganda?
