First let me say that I agree that the industry is not healthy and all these minimum capital carriers are dangerous. But $128 per policy would require all 90,000 policies to have a claim. This is certainly not likely. But lets say that only 5000 policies have a claim. then we have $2320 for each house (on average)
Why do we allow a carrier to carry so much exposure and have such little surplus? sure reinsurance pays out but come on, aren't we just kidding around here.
