2) There are a few single mothers out there who really have no other choice than daycare. That unfortunate situation aside, ask this question: is the bigger house, the new TV, the nice vacation, or your career really worth your young child being neglected or worse- abused? The answer to that question led my wife to choose to stay home- if my income goes down, we'll survive and adapt- our kids are priceless.
