Reality of this day is that both parents have to work in a majority of households. Not to have a McMansion. Can't even afford to rent in most cities without two incomes.
Single mothers represent more then a 'few' of the population. And most of them are not getting the child support that has been ordered to them. If the father leaves the state, you're SOL.
I don't have answers, and I thank god I have my mother to watch my children while I'm at work. But I do know enough people who work and have to put their children in daycare to survive. NOT to have a BMW and 10,000 sq ft of living space.
