It is so very difficult to not wish a Work Comp case on those who have never been a victim of the system, or have had their lifestyle dramatically changed because they or a spouse have lost everything while the Insurance Companies invent any way to avoid paying on a PROVEN and ACCEPTED Work Injury Claim. I know firsthand that the doctors doing Utilization Review for the Work Comp Insurers earn at least 50% more working on denying treatments than the treating MDs in the trenches who are seeing the Injured Patients face to face. Granted, there ARE treating physicians who abuse and overuse the system and are being weaned out.
So, who is governing the Insurance Companies, Gov. Schwarzenegger? They are BY FAR the entity coming out on the rosy end of this deal.
