Unfortunately, he must live in a hole. The original law drafted in 1967 required minimum coverage of 15,000/30,000/5,000. Now he is going to expand a more deficient coverage to 3 more areas at 10,000/20,000/3,000. Any agent who would write such low coverage in 2006 should lose his license or be held responsible for losses exceeding these coverage limits. $3,000 won't cover a Ford Focus.
