I am part of the campaign team opposing the measure referenced in the AP article. The headline misrepresents the measure's effect. It doesn't "Prohibit Insurers from Raising Rates." It bans the use of credit scoring in setting insurance rates in Oregon. It's poor legislation that should be defeated by voters, but for reasons different from those listed in the headline.
