If we are able to compensate and subsidize the oil & gas industry and mega farms while they enjoy incredible profits how can we not compensate smaller FARMERS. We need farmers to grow our food. We cannot outsource all of our food needs and spite ourselves. Crops are important to the people in the USA to avoid becoming like other 3rd world countries when they cannot feed their people. Farmers are our lifeline and work their tails off for minimal return.
