Obviously huge premiums have been paid over the years for insurance coverage. Sadly, the insurance companies did not have the foresight to omit priest abuse from their policies. Covering pedophile clergy should never have been a condition of coverage.
We all know that old and new cases will surface in the future and without coverage what will become of this corrupt institution. Is it possible that the future coverage include sexual abuse by clergy and if so, who the hell will pay the premiums once this is made known. I know, the bishops will put insurance cost in another expenditure, such as, let's say, clergy sabbatical.
