Bravo! I applaud WA's legislature. I also 100% agree with Avery. The DEFAULT should be that our information be secure and "frozen" unless explicitly given permission for it to be accessed, and only for the purpose for which permission was [temporarily] granted. I feel it's also the responsibility of the credit reporting agencies to get permission by contacting the individual (live, in person, by phone) -and having some more secure method of authenticating me than "the last 4 digits of the social security number" or "mothers maiden name"... how rediculous! We've a long way to go- but this is a start.
