Being as isolated as they are, they have no incentive to assimilate or adapt. Non-islanders who go there won't ever be accepted. Fortunately, most non-islanders are only there temporarily. The bullying issue is a tough one to resolve. Complaining to public school administrators is a dead end. Having your kid learn martial arts is an option. What better learning experience for a punk bully to have his _ _ _ kicked.
Better to opt for a private school where this kind of nonsense isn't tolerated.
