Subject: Overstated wildfire dangers?
"Meanwhile, the Insurance Information Institute said more than half of California's 12.5 million homes face wildfire dangers that pose a financial loss potential well in excess of $100 billion."
This guy is saying that HALF of all homes in California face wildfire dangers? 6 million homes? That's simply not true.
Homes built at the urban/wildland interface face dangers. Most homes in California do NOT face wildfire dangers because they are not exposed to brush or forest hazards.
If this is a real quote and not some kind of editing problem, this guy from the III is providing bad information to the public. We have enough trouble with bad information, we don't need the III handing it out on our behalf!!
