The only way to really fireproof would to build a house of concrete or bricks - bricks crumble and concrete cracks....this is California - no one will cover for the earthquake if the house is built of bricks....(kind of reminds you of the three little pigs, huh?) So, either way you lose. Like a "Catch-22" situation.....:)
